C. Michael Norton

Assistant Manager, Toledo Field Services E: mnorton@bowser-morner.com

He may be new to Bowser-Morner, but Mike Norton brought with him nearly 20 years of experience in the ready mix concrete industry, including plant operations and quality control.  His expertise includes mix designing for normal and light weight concrete, slip-formed, mass concrete and ODOT QC mixes.

As Assistant Manager, Toledo Field Services, Mike is also responsible for the field technician crew who provide a variety of construction observation and materials testing services to our clients.  Whether it is soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, steel material testing, or special inspections, Mike has the hands-on know-how to best advise the client.

Mike also helps clients with forensic evaluations like premature pavement failures, slab cracking, trouble-shooting, and soil settlement.  His observations are backed by laboratory testing, the experience of in-house engineers, and other experts in the field.

He is a 2002 graduate of Bowling Green State University who gained much of his knowledge in the field.  His certifications include:  ACI Grade 1 Concrete Field, ACI Concrete Strength, ACI Self Consolidating Concrete, and Radiological Safety and Nuclear Gauge Operations.

Before working for BMI, Mike worked alongside BMI on several area projects, including the First Solar Production facilities, Lake Local Schools in Millbury, and the Perrysburg Waste Water Treatment Plant.   His experience also includes the I-75 Major Reconstruction in Toledo, the Monument Seawall Restoration at Put-In-Bay, the Hollywood Casino, the Waterville Bridge over the Maumee River, and much more.  After getting to know him, Bowser-Morner knew he would be a great fit and made him a valuable part of our team.

In his free time, Mike enjoys the great outdoors by hunting, fishing, kayaking and camping with the family.  His children keep him and his wife busy with sports:  baseball, football, wrestling, volleyball and horse riding competitions.
