Course title: Duplicate Measurements 101

This four-hour course focuses on one aspect of quality assurance for radon testers; the analysis of duplicate measurements. The objectives of this course are to provide attendees a better understanding of: (1) measurements of random vs. non random systems; (2) measurements of variability; specifically, the standard deviation, coefficient of variation and relative percent difference; what they are, and how and why they might vary; (3) constructing and interpreting control charts; and (4) the protocols related to duplicate measurements. In addition, software being written specifically for tabulating and charting duplicate radon measurements is described, and course attendees are given the opportunity to obtain the software at no cost. The software runs within Excel 97 or higher (IBM compatible only) but does not require any knowledge of Excel to use. The course has been approved by NEHA and NRSB for 4.0 credits and for 4 ASHI® Membership Renewal Credits. Please contact Phil Jenkins for information regarding course offerings.
