General Chemistry
Bowser-Morner's Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Services are accredited by A2LA and are used extensively by the automotive, foundry, and mining industries to test alloys, ores, and slags. We perform quantitative and semi-quantitative analyses on metallic and mineralogical samples. Typical samples include cast irons, stainless steels, aluminums, brasses, solders, limestones, ores, and numerous other materials. This laboratory also conducts a variety of physical tests on oil, rubber, plastic, elastomers, and much more.
Analytical methods include FTIR, GDS, ICP, SEM, EDS, AAS, and wet chemistry. Accurate results and prompt sample turnaround are top priorities.
Special Chemistry
Our Special Chemistry Lab evaluates and determines the causes of failures for a multitude of manufactured products and processes. These tests include qualitative and quantitative analyses of polymeric and plastic materials. Typical samples analyzed include plastics, paints, elastomers, oils, and other lubricants. We also perform corrosion studies and chemical identification of unknown materials.
